How is it going in this little automotive safe haven? My name is Dylan, and I am a proud dashcammer of Northeast Ohio. I don't have the best equipment in any aspect of these videos, but I do my best. I will be 18 i a week, and have driven for nearly 2 years without a single accident or ticket. I drive a 1990 Ford Escort, which obviously isn't a speed demon or grip racer. It gets me to and from, and that is about all it can do lol. I record using my Droid Razr, which has a pretty good camera for a non-iPhone. However, my mount is... satisfactory, and just does it's job of pointing the camera forward. I've been in 2 accidents prior to me getting my license, neither of which I was driving for. I've seen too many Russian Dash Cams to feel safe against insurance fraud, which is the main reason for sticking my phone on my window every day. In addition, when I turn 21, I hope to get my CCW (perks to living in a state that doesn't despise firearms), just because... you never know out there. Just the fact that we are all members of a forum like this goes to show that we prepare for the worst, and I won't feel completely safe until I am allowed to protect myself from harm the simplest way possible.
This isn't my most recent video, but it is my best one so far. The rest of my playlist is here.
EDIT: Do I swear in my videos? Yes. Do I give a damn? Hell no. Enjoy.
I occasionally speed on an open stretch of freeway about a mile from my school (not ashamed of it), but only when I need to get some frustration out, and I can always see if there is an officer ahead. I'm not proud of it, but I only do it when I am certain nobody is around and I don't pose any risk to others.
I am fully open to criticism on my videos. Any recommendations are welcome!
