It's never a good idea to swerve, make sudden lane changes, run lights, cut off other vehicles. In fact not only does it make you look like an amateur driver, but it could lead to a collision.
Why collisions are 'bad' and why you should avoid them by driving safe and in a professional manner… (these are in order from the most selfish reasons toward general public safety, because those who drive recklessly are generally ego-centric people).
1) If it's your fault, your insurance will go up making you poor
2) You could end up hurting someone which is something you would have to live with for the rest of your life;
3) If you hurt someone you could do jail time, especially if you are negligent, and if you caused the collision you are in fact negligent.
4) You will either drive around in what will look like a clunker, or have to pay to get it fixed, or have to replace it, again putting you in the poor house.
5) You'll have to pay for other damages you cause;
6) You could end up injuring a child that's in another vehicle, are you really into beating up children?
7) You could be cited and therefore have marks against your license… do you really want to loose the ability to drive? You really want to get out that bike and ride to work from now on?
8) Your friends will think of you as a tool, that couldn't handle driving in the real world.
9) You could end up in the hospital in a neck to ankle body cast for 6 months… think about how smelly and itchy you'll be and how long it'll take to learn how to walk again.
10) Your brain could be damaged and therefore you won't even understand what driving is let alone getting into the driver's seat again.
There are plenty more reasons to learn to drive professionally. Please make more suggestions and we'll add yours to our list (with credit).
With the above in mind, lets learn how to be a professional driver… yes, drive like a PRO!!! Let the examples/situations begin.
