It goes without saying we're glad to have you join our new forum.
Please say hello and introduce yourself to the community, and consider yourself at home.
Let me rephrase that:

RULES
These rules are meant to keep ProjectRoadRush a fun and inviting place to be… we're creating a positive community where everyone is welcome.
RESPECT: Respect all members. If someone posts something that you think is inappropriate, please flag it for a Moderators to review. Do not disrespect by race, orientation, sex, or other biased points of view. Anyone who expresses a biased point of view will be banned as we are interested in saving lives, all lives.
ATTACHMENTS: Only 1 'ProjectRoadRush' attachment per post and only up to 300kb, so select your best image. Anything above 300kb and up to or over 1MB will be deleted. You can always group more pictures into one jpg using a free image editing program. You can also use a image hosting website like tiny pic, flickr, etc.
FLAMING: No Flaming. Flaming is when you put down another member, typically using foul language. You will be banned. There's no question that people believe in different things, you don't have to hate on people because of it. Instead of flaming, flag the inappropriate content for review.
CONTENT: No posting of dead people, or people who are seriously injured, in the process of being injured or hit by vehicles, or being thrown from a vehicle.
No disgusting, lewd, or horrific images or videos. Use judgement. If unsure ask a moderator for their opinion before posting. If content is 'simulated graphic content', then say it is (as in commercials design to stop people from texting).
HOT TOPICS: Do Not Post on 'HOT TOPICS' including subjects that are controversial including religion, politics (dems. vs. repb. vs. whoever), gun-use, birth issues, marriage-right issues, etc. or you will be banned. This forum is about road safety. Off topic content should be lite subject matter.
Other rules that you agreed to when you registered always apply including the TOS of ProBoards.
PRIVACY: Do not ask any member for their specific name, address or phone number. Report anyone who asks for this information.
LAW: We expect that all members are following the law when it comes to the road, or within reason. If you post anything that suggests that you are deliberately breaking the law you will get a warning, be banned, or be reported. If you continue to post similar things you will be banned. Disrespect of the law is probably the leading cause of death and injury on all roads around the world and having an attitude that condones such behavior will not be tolerated here. That said we also understand that people need to learn what is the right thing to do, so follow the law and you'll know. But, it's also important to understand why laws are created, so ask in the forum, it will certainly help others and increase your own appreciation of the laws.
EMERGENCY SERVICE PERSONNEL: Do not disrespect the police, fire, or other emergency service professionals. It's one thing to point out a flaw of a particular individual and make suggestions on how they can improve themselves, or help a department improve, it's another to generalize and assume all officials are like an example(s). If you generalize, you're discriminating and therefore acting in a counter-productive way, and is grounds for banning.
If you post things that are anti-emergency personnel you may find yourself banned. Our moderators do not have time to teach you what is appropriate or not, and thus will probably ban you in order to avoid future questionable posts. We do not care that you are really passionate about some issue. Leave that for some other place. ProjectRoadRush is about road safety for all people including pedestrians, bike and vehicles of all sorts operated by all people from everywhere, and not about distracting, divisive (topics tending to cause disagreement or hostility between people) issues.
Full Disclosure: You may not recommend a product or service you, your family or your friends are associated with unless you provide a full disclosure of your relationship with said company/product, etc. Not doing so constitutes fraud (your biased view point) unless you provide the disclosure to allow individuals to make up their own mind (they may wish to support you so it's not a bad thing). Giving full disclosure prevents a 'conflict of interest.' If you have a financial interest in something not only should you give full disclosure but you should deny acceptance of a position associated with said product/service to avoid a conflict of interest when contemplating making a recommendation.
General Forum Etiquette:
-Don't double post (you post again right after the post you just made). Instead, edit your post if you have more information to add or you want to quote more than one previous post [ quote] content [ /quote].
-Stay on-topic. Start a new thread if you want to chat about a different topic, new topics welcome!
-Don't bump unless a couple of days have gone by and you feel the topic needs attention.
-Add [WARNING GRAPHIC] to the title (and/or in the post) anything you think could upset anyone. If you think it's really bad, then add a spoiler [ spoiler] content here [ /spoiler].
Welcome to Project Road Rush!
This is a community forum where everyone is welcome to express yourself, within good taste. We hope that members will talk about many things including:
By reaching out to more YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion and other users and helping them strengthen their message, we can cast a larger net to reach more people and do so in a grass-roots way. So instead of producing 'state or federal looking' public service announcements, this has the ability to influence an individual who would normally frown upon such a message and instead get them to think about the real ramifications of bad road attitudes, thus potentially removing a danger from the roadway.
MISSION:
Our mission is to enhance road safety for all users, including children, pedestrians, bicyclists, private and commercial vehicles. It goes without saying that almost everyone, even those who it is determined to be at fault, never want to be in a collision. It also goes without saying that no one wants to hear about a tragic and preventable loss of life. It's a waste of great potential and a heartbreaking traumatic event for family and friends… quite literally collisions are horrifying. At a minimum they are disruptive to society and cause increased insurance rates for everyone.
So we will proceed without prejudice or from a biased point of view, because we seek solutions from all points of view. If we encounter a user who has an extreme point of view, one that states, for instance, that all drivers should be banned from cities, we will have to then limit their access to our site as this polarizing attitude tends to do more finger pointing that generates arguments than helping us find real solutions that are within the realm of reality. We will limit their access so they may become more informed and may, perhaps, re-enter the discussion in the future with a more pro-active positive attitude.
With this mission in mind we will also be launching a website called Designed4Safety which seeks to improve all types of designs to make the use of our road system safer for everyone. For instance Designed4Safety is working on a new 'red light' design, one that makes the red light move left and right to grab driver's attention (movement is the easiest way to spot anything), or improved curb design that has built into it a barrier to prevent vehicles from jumping the curb (since they do NOT belong there anyway), or national safety standards for rear lights on vehicles. We've even designed an improved traffic circle. This effort is in conjunction with an architectural firm and we're excited to get them involved.
We already have a blog called KnowTheFundamentals which seeks to promote road safety for children within the national school system. Promoting and teaching road safety in schools seems to be the only way to reach all children, giving them the basic building blocks that will give them a life of safe living, and infusing an attitude which will stay with them when they learn to drive.
Together these programs (and a couple other programs) make up our parent site's mission. Our parent site is www.WhatCountsNow.org.
The possibilities of this site are endless, but remember ProjectRoadRush is for you, so start the discussions and lets make a difference.

Welcome to Project Road Rush!
This is a community forum where everyone is welcome to express yourself, within good taste. We hope that members will talk about many things including:
- How to make better videos;
- What's the worst thing you've seen happen on the road and how can it be addressed to prevent it in the future?
- Ideas on how to reach those bad drivers to change their bad habits;
- Sharing your videos and channels and getting critics on how to improve your stuff.
- Lists of other groups attempting to do the same type of stuff.
